Brief: I was there for the planning, but resigned and moved out of state before our plans were executed. I met with Ignacio Goya and Heidi Magesa, and we planned the logistics, marketing, registration timeline, signs in the buildings, MailChimp email, registration website, and many other details.
Problems Solved: The symposium had a limited budget. Yet we wanted to maintain contact with those who had registered to attend the symposium. The solution was to set up a free MailChimp account and create an e-newsletter. This newsletter would inform the recipients of information they needed to know, such as lodging and food arrangements. Also, provide reminders as the symposium drew closer. And serve to advertise the various presentations that would be a part of the symposium.
